Description	:	Ann Caroline Himmelreich was born in Union county Pennsylvania, January 29, 1838. February 19, 1856 she was married to Jacob Rengler, with whom she led a happy life for 53 years. During this time they lived in Michigan, Iowa, Grand Island, Neb., and about 24 years ago they moved to St. Edward. The last seven years they lived in Albion. Read More	Ann Caroline Himmelreich was born in Union county Pennsylvania, January 29, 1838. February 19, 1856 she was married to Jacob Rengler, with whom she led a happy life for 53 years. During this time they lived in Michigan, Iowa, Grand Island, Neb., and about 24 years ago they moved to St. Edward. The last seven years they lived in Albion. Unto them were born 7 children, three of whom died in childhood. The four remaining are well known and well respected citizens, _______ in their lives the patient and _______ training of a loving mother. They are Mrs. E. C. Hall, of St. Edward, W. C. Rengler of Boon, Mrs. F. B. Waring and Mrs. C. L. Postle of Albion. All of the children were at the funeral. Besides the children there are 19 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Only one more left of her father’s family, T. L. Himmelreich, of Falls City. Unfortunately he could not be at the funeral. She passed peacefully away Sunday morning, February 7th. Sad indeed was the day for her aged companion. The wife of his youth and the mother of his children, a very grievous and irreparable lose. She has had quite a lengthy siege of gradual decline so that her demise was not unexpected. At the early age of 15 she united with the Lutheran church and after coming to Albion she has attended the Congregational church. She has ever lead a life above reproach, a faithful wife, devoted to her home and children and an excellent neighbor. Services were held at the Congregational church Wednesday afternoon, conducted by pastor, Rev. Townsend. Word of consoluation were spoken from Peter _________ a crown of glory that will never fade away. The floral offerings were elaborate and very bountiful. The body was interred in Rose Hill. Thus we bid farewell to a very beautiful character. (Albion Weekly News – Albion, Nebraska – February 18, 1909)
