BERRY'S DEATH AT gLENVIEW, iLL. Remains Will be Brought to Keokuk Monday Morning for Burial at Oakland Cemetery. The widow of the late Capt. Thomas Berry died at 11 o'clock last night at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Harry Comstock at Glenview, a suburb of Chicago, at the age of seventy-seven years. Mrs. Berry, nee Richards, was an old resident of Keokuk where she married and reared her family of children. For a number of years their residence was at 903 High street. Captain Berry died a little over a year ago and about three months after his death the family removed to Glenview where the widow has just closed her eyes in death. Mrs. Berry had been in bad health for a number of years and seemed to grow worse after the death of her husband.. She was a likeable woman and while she was strictly a home woman she had many friends who knew her excellent womanly qualities and were much attached to her. She survived by three daughters, Mrs. Comstock, at whose home she died, Miss Jessie and Miss Ida Berry and a son, David Berry, all of whom lived at the hoe with their mother and another son, Milton Berry. The remains are expected to arrive on the southbound C.B.7/8Q. train Monday morning for burial in Oakland cemetery, no arrangements have yet been made as to the hour. (The Daily Gate City, Keokuk, Ia., Jun 2, 1912, Page 14.) ======================================= FUNERAL RECORD The remains of Mrs. Thomas Berry arrived on the morning southbound K line train today and was borne directly to Oakland cemetery were Rev. Dr. J. C. Sage of St. John's Episcopal church conducted the services according to the beautiful ritual of that church. The Daughters of the Kings contributed a lovely display of flowers which entirely covered the mound of earth excavated from the grave, a beautiful tribute to the aged woman, so long a resident of this city. The following were the pallbearers: Dr. S. W. Moorhead, Willian Sinton, Col. H. B. Blood, Maj. W. B. Collins, Al. Marks and Capt. A. H. Evans. (The Daily Gate City, Keokuk, Ia., Jun 3, 1912, Page 3)
