She is succeeded by Mrs. Osborne who has fine musical taste and excellent times.. The church is fortunate in securing the services of so competent a person as Mrs. Osborne." (excerpt from St. Croix Courier, Feb. 12, 1891) The Eastport Sentinel reports that an Annie C. McGarlie married William McVeay on Feb. 3, 1891 by the Rev. Doyle in the Milltown church. Annie McVey died on August 13, 1893, age 28, of gastritis (Calais City Records) The Eastport Sentinel lists an Annie F. McVey who died in Calais on August 13, 1893, "aged 28 yrs."
