Description	:	Ann "Annie" McGreevy Florer, 50, died Jan. 2, 2011, in her home, after a long struggle with cancer. Her beauty and strength will forever inspire her family and friends. Annie was born on June 18, 1960, to Harry and Marian (Hogan) McGreevy. She was born eighth of nine children to an Irish Catholic family in Anaconda, Montana. She graduated from Anaconda Senior High School in 1978 and Kinman Business University in Spokane, Washington in 1980. After working several years for CPA firms in Missoula and Billings, she returned to school to study nursing. In 1987, she graduated from Montana State University with a bachelor of science in nursing. Annie dedicated her life's work to medicine. She worked at Deaconess Medical Center in Billings as an Intensive Care and Emergency Room registered nurse for nearly 10 years before moving to Seattle, where she continued her nursing care at Swedish Medical Center. She later on went to work for LYNX Medical System working as a medical coding consultant. Annie married Doug Florer in 1998 in Seattle. Annie and Doug enjoyed traveling and attending sporting events together; Annie had a lifelong passion for athletics. They relocated to Post Falls in 2007 and were active with the North Idaho Student Athletic Host Family Program. She was preceded in death by her parents, Harry and Marian; and her brother, Jack McGreevy. She is survived by her husband, Doug; stepdaughter Joanna; her sisters, Bartley Rogers, Buffalo, New York, Kathy (Doug) Graveley, Helena, Montana, Mary Jean (Denny Finn), Spokane, Washington; Glynn (Brad) Hines, Billings; her brothers, Kevin (Sylvia), Vienna, Virginia, Tom (Linda), Santa Clara, California, Bob, Portland, Oregon. She is also survived by her nieces and nephews, Katie and Neal Hines, Colleen (Munyan) and Craig Rogers, Danielle (Krawl) and Luke Graveley, Patrick, Melissa, Shannon and Jenny McGreevy. A memorial service will be held at Real Life Ministry, 1866 N. Cecil Road, Post Falls. A memorial mass will be held in Anaconda in the spring of 2011. Donation can be made to Hospice of North Idaho.
