The funeral which was held Tuesday morning from the Catholic church was largely attended by the residents of the county. Annie Miller Hendrie was born in Lanlasgoshire, Scotland, in 1825, where about 1845 she married John Hendrie who survives her. In 1853 they came to what was then called the highlands of Au Sable, which is now included in this county, and four years later they moved onto the land which for thirty years has been their home. All around them then was a dense and unbroken forest of pines. The deceased was the mother of three children all of whom are married and survive her. Title: History of the Lake Huron shore. With illustrations and biographical sketches of some of its prominent men and pioneers. She was born in Scotland in 1825 and was married there to John Hendrie in 1845. They came to "the Highlands of AuSable" in 1853 and 4 years later moved onto the farm land in Harrisville.
