Description	:	Ann Thornburgh was born the 22d of 11th mo 1761 in Guilford (then Rowan) County, NC, a daughter of Joseph and Ann (Armfield) Thornburg. She was married the 5th of 5th mo 1784 at New Garden Friends Meeting, Guilford Co., NC, to Joseph Hockett/Hoggatt. About 1811 she and her family left North Carolina for Clinton County, Ohio, where she died the 12th of 10th mo 1832. She was the mother of eight children: Hannah, Margaret, John, Nathan, Jane, Elizabeth, Ann, and Rachel.
