Mrs Carroll was born December 1, 1889, at Jackson, MN, to Mr and Mrs John Ambrose. She received her schooling at Jackson and attended Business College in Omaha, NE In 1917, she was married to Albert Frye, in Omaha. In 1918, they homesteaded nine miles east of Ekalaka. Read More	ANNA CARROLL SERVICES HELD SATURDAY MAY 9 Mrs Anna Carroll, 80, of Ekalaka, MT, passed away May 5, 1970 in the Dahl Memorial Hospital in Ekalaka, following a seven-month illness. Mrs Carroll was born December 1, 1889, at Jackson, MN, to Mr and Mrs John Ambrose. She received her schooling at Jackson and attended Business College in Omaha, NE In 1917, she was married to Albert Frye, in Omaha. In 1918, they homesteaded nine miles east of Ekalaka. Mr. Frye preceded her in death in 1932. In 1934, she was married to Charles Carroll, at Ekalaka. They lived on a ranch and in 1944, they moved to Ekalaka, where she made her home since. Mr Carroll preceded her in death in 1952. Mrs Carroll is survived by two daughters, Mrs Helen Blutt of Ekalaka and Mrs Verna Welch of Libby, MT; three sons, Bert and Glenn Frye of Ekalaka and Lloyd Carroll of Ekalaka; one step-son Joe Carroll of Ekalaka; and three step daughters, Mrs Rose Fiksdal of Holloway, MN; Mrs Secreta Pond of Waldport, OR; and Mrs Mabel Archuleta of Rock Springs, WY; one sister, Mrs Rose Phalen of Miles City; one brother Lloyd Ambrose of Alpha, MN; twenty-two grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren. A daughter, Eleanora Welch, and a son, Albert Roy Frye, preceded their mother in death. Funeral services were held at 2pm Saturday, May 9 in the Ekalaka Church of Christ Congregational. Rev Charles Billups officiated and burial was in I.O.O.F. Cemetery. Putman Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. Memorials may be made to the Cancer Society. Music was rendered by Gloria Preuss, soloist and Bernice Shelden, organist. The selections were "An Evening Prayer" and "How Great Thou Art." Pallbearers were Richard Atkinson, Fulton Castleberry, Vernon Walter, Eldon Welch, Jim Nies and Boyne Gundlach. The Creighton News
