Description	:	Mrs. Beryl Slaven White, aged forty-seven years, who has been a semi-invalid, from a serious nervous affliction for several years, succumbed on Friday morning, January 28th, at her home on Franklin highway. She was a daughter of the late Henry and Allie Gum Slaven and was born Oct. 7 [17], 1890, and had spent her entire life in Highland. She was united in marriage to William E. Read More	Mrs. Beryl Slaven White, aged forty-seven years, who has been a semi-invalid, from a serious nervous affliction for several years, succumbed on Friday morning, January 28th, at her home on Franklin highway. She was a daughter of the late Henry and Allie Gum Slaven and was born Oct. 7 [17], 1890, and had spent her entire life in Highland. She was united in marriage to William E. White and their home was blessed with one son and four daughters, namely: Rev. Fred R. White, Mrs. William Hiner, Mrs. Howard Hiner, Mrs Marvin Puffinberger and Miss Marie White. Also surviving are two brothers, John R. Slaven, Roy Slaven of this county; three sisters, Mrs. Albie Pullin, Marcus Hook, Pa., Miss Florence Slaven Richmond; Miss Alma Slaven of Monterey and Valley Center. Mrs. White will be sadly missed by the entire community in which she lived as well as at her home, where for years members of her family were accustomed to spend happy week end vacations. She-had truly been a mother to her sisters long deprived of a mothers love. For many years she had been a consistent and loyal member of Asbury Methodist Church. Funeral services, held at Asbury church, at one o’clock Sunday afternoon were conducted by the Rev. C. A. Munsey, assisted by Rev. Loring Howell.
