Logan and Miss Anna Crook, well-known Lisbon people succeeded in springing a surprise upon their friends Monday evening when they were quietly united in marriage by Rev. Traverse Harrison at his home here. Before their friends were aware any of what had happened the happy couple had left the city for 10 days trip up the lakes. Mr. Vogan is a baggage master on the Erie Railroad running between Cleveland and Pittsburgh and is one of the oldest employees of the company, in point of years of service. Miss Cook is a tailoress by occupation, and has been employed for some time at the Huston and Son establishment. They will make their home in this city. ---- The Salem News, Salem, Ohio Wednesday June 3, 1936 Page 8 Mrs. Anna C. Vogan dies in Columbiana Columbiana, June 3, - Mrs. Anna C. Vogan, 76, widow of Thomas W. Vogan, died Tuesday at the home of her nephew and wife, Mr. and Mrs. C. J. Hart, W. Park Ave., as a result of a cerebral hemorrhage. Mrs. Logan came to Columbiana about eight months ago from Lisbon. Her husband, who died seven years ago, was a Civil War veteran and for many years was employed as express man for the Erie Railroad at Lisbon. A daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Charles Crook, she was born September 23, 1860, in Fairfield Township. She was a member of the Lisbon church and Rebekah lodge there and was active in the affairs of both. One brother and two sisters preceded her in death. Surviving are a stepdaughter, Mrs. W. T. Bushman, a Buffalo, N. Y., two brothers, Marcus and Cletus Crook of Lisbon; two sisters, Mrs. Ada Neigh of Cleveland and Mrs. Harry Harbaugh of Lisbon; several nieces and nephews. A short funeral service will be held at the Hart home in Columbiana, where she died, at 1:30 p.m. Friday, followed by service at the Lisbon Christian church at 2:30 p.m. Rev. F. C. Lake, pastor of the Lisbon Christian church, and Rev. George A. Funk of Columbiana will be in charge of the services. Burial will be in Lisbon Cemetery. The body will be removed from the Fry funeral home to the Hart home in Columbiana Thursday afternoon, where friends may call anytime Thursday evening.
