Description	:	Cletus H. Crook, retired, was one of Lisbon's most prominent and successful business men for many years. He was born near Lisbon, Aug. 18, 1851, and is the son of Charles and Sophia (Fredericks) Crook. Cletus H. Crook was reared and educated in Fairfield Township and later removed to Lisbon, where he conducted a restaurant for 45 years. Although he now lives retired, Mr. Crook still owns the restaurant and the business is conducted by his son, Ralph S. Crook. Crook, retired, was one of Lisbon's most prominent and successful business men for many years. He was born near Lisbon, Aug. 18, 1851, and is the son of Charles and Sophia (Fredericks) Crook. Cletus H. Crook was reared and educated in Fairfield Township and later removed to Lisbon, where he conducted a restaurant for 45 years. He has lived on his present farm near Lisbon since 1922 and is the owner of 85 acres of fine farm land. On Dec. 18, 1879, Mr. Crook was united in marriage with Miss Leonora Shawke, of Lisbon, the daughter of Joseph and Sophia Shawke, both deceased. Mr. and Mrs. Crook have five children, as follows: Frank R., a pharmacist, lives in Center Township, married Bertha McKee, of Ripley, Ohio; Ralph S., lives at Lisbon, married Marie Flugan, and they have three children, Harold, Doris and Robert; Josephine Sophia, married Walter E. Cutting, of Cleveland; James Cletus, a World War veteran, lives at home; and Florence L. Bilger, lives at Columbiana, Ohio. Politically, Mr. Crook is a Republican, and he and his family hold membership in the Methodist Episcopal Church. They have a wide acquaintance in the county and are well liked.
