Campbell and Fannie Burdick Campbell. That family lived in Greenview, Menard, Illinois, at the time of the 1880 U.S. Census. I also found 1950's listings in the Spokane City Directory for an Anna C. (Mrs. Albert L.) Ames. I've suggested adding her place of birth; and a link to her husband. According to census records, she was born in IL. In the 1880 US census record, she is about a year old, with her parents, living in Greenview, Menard, IL, which may be where she was born (however, I have no official record showing her exact place of birth). According to the WA marriage records, she married William Porter Ames on 14 Oct 1915 in Spokane, Spokane, WA. William was a pastor. They had one child, Alfred Campbell Ames, who went on to be a well known literary critic for the Chicago Tribune. I believe that the marriage fell apart after 1930. In the 1940 census record, she is living with Alfred in Urbana, Champaign, IL, while William was living in Lawrence, Douglas, KS. They both identify as married in those records. However, before William died in 1964 (and before Anna died in 1966), William married Daisy Marguerite Holcomb; I have not found a marriage record, but she is identified in his obituary.
