Mueller Summoned By Death Funeral Services To Be Held Thursday At Christ Lutheran Church Mrs. J. P. Mueller, wife of the Rev. J. P. Mueller, 1108 South Fourth street, died shortly after 8 o'clock Monday morning at her home after a stroke of paralysis, which she suffered last Thursday as she was leaving her home. She was found near the steps of her home by members of the family at the time and never regained consciousness. She would have been 85 years of age Wednesday. Mrs. Mueller, whose maiden name was Anna Catherine Ebert, was married to Mr. Mueller Nov. 26, 1878, at Fisherville, Ont., Can., and they celebrated their sixtieth wedding anniversary a year ago. After their marriage, they established their home at Lyons, Neb., where Mr. Mueller served as Lutheran pastor and teacher in the parochial school. The Mueller's lived at Lyons until March, 1881, going from there to Scribner where Mr. Mueller served two congregations. They came to Norfolk in September, 1888, where Mr. Mueller accepted a call to Christ Lutheran church. He served as pastor until 1922, resigning at that time because of ill health, but the family continued to make Norfolk their home. Besides her husband, Mrs. Mueller is survived by five sons and daughters, Mrs. Eleanor Marshall, Omaha; Miss Anna W. Mueller, Sioux City; Theodore Mueller, assistant postmaster, Norfolk, and William Mueller, Mason City, Ia., all of whom were here with her at the time of her death; and Mrs. Elizabeth Elsasser, Los Angeles, Calif., who is to arrive her Tuesday. She is also survived by fifteen grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Thursday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock at Christ Lutheran church, with the Rev. M. E. Mayer in charge. Burial will be in the new Lutheran cemetery.
