Nelson, born Anna Kathryn Lingvall, was born in Swede Bend, Iowa, August 5, 1874, and passed away at her home February 6, 1911, at the age of 36 years, 6 months and 1 day. She was united in marriage to C. W. Nelson April 13, 1898. Their union was blessed with seven children, two having died in infancy. She was a loving wife and devoted mother, loved by all who knew her. All the care and love that skilled physicians and an anxious household could devise and apply for her comfort and assistance was done, but the fiat of Him who rules had been issued and despite the prayers and entreaties of all who knew and loved her, their appeals were overruled and the sufferer's spirit took its flight to that home the Christian believes is the fulfillment of life. Her path is a path marked with deeds of good kindness and cheer and she expressed her willingness to meet her Maker. Funeral services were held at the Swedish Mission church Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock, conducted by Rev. Cederholm of Pilot Mound, who paid a beautiful tribute to the memory of the departed one. The floral offerings were many and beautiful and after the many friends gathered had been permitted to view the remains, the sad cortege wended its way to the Swede Bend cemetery, where the remains were laid to rest. She leaves to mourn her death a loving husband, five children, father, one sister and two brothers, besides many relatives and scores of friends. Peace to her memory.
