Description	:	Anna Christina Schmitt was born in Standernheim, Germany, January 5, 1870; came to America in September, 1887. On March 13, 1893, she was married to John J. Hohl and died November 30, 1904, aged 34 years, 10 months and 25 days, leaving a loving husband, three dear little children and a large circle of sorrowing friends. Read More	Anna Christina Schmitt was born in Standernheim, Germany, January 5, 1870; came to America in September, 1887. On March 13, 1893, she was married to John J. Hohl and died November 30, 1904, aged 34 years, 10 months and 25 days, leaving a loving husband, three dear little children and a large circle of sorrowing friends. For some months those of us who lived near to her could see in those loving eyes the unmistakable evidences of final dissolution, but all that medical skill, tender care and loving sympathy could offer were of no avail and ere we were aware the weary innocent soul flitted away, her only thought and care being that of her hapless orphans, commending them to the care of Him who "doeth all things well." The funeral was conducted by Rev. J.E. Birknerof the German Evangelical church of Primrose, of which the deceased was ever a consistent member, and on Friday, December 2, she was tenderly and lovingly laid away in her last long resting place. A hush that we may not, can not understand, A silence so deep from a far away land: A stillness so still that we tremble with dread And say in our weakness, "a mother is dead."
