Ward Passed Away At Son's Home Saturday Survived By Five Sons and Four Daughters Mrs. Mary A. Ward, an aged and highly respected resident of the Jacksonville neighborhood, died at the home of her son, Thomas S. Ward, Jr., on Saturday. Mrs. Ward was born Feb. 12th, 1862, in Somerset county, the daughter of the late Robert and Virginia F. Coulbourne. Her husband, Thomas S. Ward, died some years ago. A woman of fine personality, during the more active years of her life her interest in neighborhood affairs was keen and she was always ready to lend a helping hand where sickness or misfortune called for it. By her unfailing kindness and consideration she made for herself many friends and the people of the section where she resided and raised her family as well as others who became acquainted with her through the years held her in high esteem and regard. Her body rested at the Lawson & Hubbard Funeral Parlors until 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, when it was carried to St. Peter's Church where funeral services were held, with the pastor of the church, Rev. R. H. Wilson, in charge. Interment was in the family lot in St. Peter's cemetery. Mrs. Ward is survived by four daughters, Mrs. Lydia Lawson, of Crisfield, Mrs. Mary A. Revelle, of Sudlersville, Mo., Mrs. Helen Long, of Cape Charles, Va., and Mrs. Louise Poyner, of Orlando, Fla., and five sons, Robert C., of Glenburnie, Md., Thomas S. Jr., of Crisfield, Weldon, Glenburnie, Roland, of Brooklyn Park, Md., and Paul, of Baltimore. Twelve grandchildren and four great-grandchildren also survive.
