Description	:	Funeral services were held Saturday morning, July 22 at the St. Francis church in Ashton for Mrs. Anna Grella, a long-time resident of this vicinity. Rev. Aloysius Jarzemski officiated. The pallbearers were: Vine Czerwinski, Walter Lukasiewicz, John Jasnoch, Paul Wesierski, Alex Gappa and Frank Maschka. Mrs. Anna Grella died Wednesday, July 19, 1939, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Stanley Ksionzek, after a long illness. At the time of her death, she was 88 years, 1 month and 28 days of age. Mrs. Anna Grella died Wednesday, July 19, 1939, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Stanley Ksionzek, after a long illness. At the time of her death, she was 88 years, 1 month and 28 days of age. Mrs. Grella was born May 21, 1851 at Pilzno, Galicia, Poland, to Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Bandur. She was married June 12, 1859 to Albert Grella in Poland and they resided there 12 years before coming to America. She came in 1881 with her husband and daughter. They settled near Columbus, Nebraska and lived there 24 years. In 1905 they move to this community and lived on a farm a mile and a half north of Ashton. Her husband passed away September 4, 1909 and shortly after his death she moved to Ashton. She resided here until four years ago, when due to ill health, she made her home with her daughter. She is survived by three sons and one daughter, namely: John of Ogallala, Stanley and Thomas of Ashton and Mrs. Stanley Ksionzek also of Ashton; one brother, Tom Bandur of Chicago; thirty-four grandchildren and twenty-eight great grandchildren. Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by 7 children, 6 died in infancy and a daughter, Mrs. Catherine Ciolek died at the age of 30 in Platte Center, Nebraska. Out-of-town relatives who attended the funeral of Mrs. Anna Grella were: Mr. and Mrs. Joe Koziol of Genoa; Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Ciolek and daughter of Albion; Mr. and Mrs. John Ciolek of Fullerton; Mr. and Mrs. Frank Cembora and children of Platte Center; Mrs. Sylvester Borowiak and daughters of Genoa; Mr. Joe Bogus of Platte Center; Mr. Pete Hansen of Platte Center; Miss Gertrude Grella of Omaha; Miss Angela Ksionzek of Omaha; Steve Ksionzek of Ogallala; Raymond Grella of Burwell; Mr. and Mrs. Joe Golus and children of Loup City; Mr. and Mrs. Ed Bazant and daughter of Loup City; Mr. and Mrs. Frank Oseka.
