Description	:	Anna was the daughter of Archibald Pennell and Lucinda Sophia (King) Freeman and was born on her parents' farm located on Hewitt Creek, Sperry Township, Clayton County, Iowa in July of 1865. She spent her life in that vicinity. On March 18, 1888 she married Joseph D. Molumby in Clayton County. Joseph was born in April of 1865 in Iowa and his parents were born in Ireland. Read More	Anna was the daughter of Archibald Pennell and Lucinda Sophia (King) Freeman and was born on her parents' farm located on Hewitt Creek, Sperry Township, Clayton County, Iowa in July of 1865. She spent her life in that vicinity. On March 18, 1888 she married Joseph D. Molumby in Clayton County. Joseph was born in April of 1865 in Iowa and his parents were born in Ireland. The couple had three children: Leon Francis (born September 30, 1888), Walter (born October 23, 1890) and Esther M. (born August 13, 1893). All three children were born in the hamlet of Volga City where their father was a hardware merchant. The U S Census of 1900 records that they were living in Volga City and living in the home included Joseph (35, married for twelve years), Anna D. (34, married for twelve years, had three children and all three still living), Leon (11), Walter (9) and Esther M. (6). All three children had attended school the previous year. Anna passed away on November 16, 1901 and is buried in the Sacred Heart Cemetery located in Volga City, Clayton County, Iowa. Her husband Joseph died on November 18, 1934 at the age of sixty-eight.
