Description	:	MRS. ANDY A. WORK Anna E. Powell, daughter of Benjamin and Katherine E. Powell, was born at Lebanon, Van Buren county, Iowa, May 8, 1852, and departed this life February 11, 1927, being 74 years, 9 months and 3 days old. In the community of Lebanon she was raised to womanhood and in the year 1873, October 1st, she was married to Andy A. Work, who still survives. This was a very happy and trustful union. They resided on a farm between Cantril and Lebanon for many years and until failing health of both herself and Mr. Work caused them to leave... Read More	MRS. ANDY A. WORK Anna E. Powell, daughter of Benjamin and Katherine E. Powell, was born at Lebanon, Van Buren county, Iowa, May 8, 1852, and departed this life February 11, 1927, being 74 years, 9 months and 3 days old. In the community of Lebanon she was raised to womanhood and in the year 1873, October 1st, she was married to Andy A. Work, who still survives. This was a very happy and trustful union. They resided on a farm between Cantril and Lebanon for many years and until failing health of both herself and Mr. Work caused them to leave the farm and locate in Cantril where they established a comfortable and happy home and made many strong friends. She united with the Methodist church at Cantril in 1894 during the pastorate of Rev. Boydston and was among the most faithful, exemplary and loveable member [sic] for a third of a century. Her health that had not been good became more impaired in the last few weeks and although all that could be done was done, she rapidly failed and passed away on the above named instance. She was energetic, strong of convictions, loveable, dutiful and constant and will be much missed by her companion, many relatives and a host of friends. How blessed are they whom their Savior obey and have laid up their treasure above. She has entered in the larger life to inherit a home in heaven. Funeral services were held from the Cantril Methodist church Sunday afternoon at two o'clock by her pastor, Rev. A. M. Simth [sic], and a mixed quartette sang beautifully. There were many flowers and a large attendance. Interment was made in the Cantril cemetery.
