The deceased was born in Hanover, Germany, August 15th, 1824. She was married to Mr. Lammers in 1855, who together with two sons, H.J. of Norfolk and Barney J of this city, and three daughters, Mrs. Frank Risse of Plainview, and Mrs. Frank Boyer and Mrs. Geo. The deceased was born in Hanover, Germany, August 15th, 1824. She was married to Mr. Lammers in 1855, who together with two sons, H.J. of Norfolk and Barney J of this city, and three daughters, Mrs. Frank Risse of Plainview, and Mrs. Frank Boyer and Mrs. Geo. Reeson of this place, now survive her. She came to America with her family in 1867, settling in Missouri. In 1884 they removed to Cuming county and for a number of years engaged in farming across the river. The deceased was a woman of fine and lovable character and was much respected for her excellent womanly qualities, wherever she was known. Although of advanced age, her death came as a shock to all and has occasioned much regret. The sympathy of many friends is with the family in this hour of bereavement. Services and interment this morning under Catholic auspices, Dean Ruesing officiating. Mrs. Anna Lammers passed away from this life Tuesday afternoon at 4:30 o'clock from a complication of ailments due to old age. Deceased was born in Hanover, Germany, in the year of 1824 and was united in marriage to the year of 1853 to Gerhardt Lammers. In 1868 she accompanied her husband to America, settling in Jefferson City, Missouri. From Jefferson City they came to West Point in 1881 where they have resided ever since. Grandma Lammers was 79 years of age when Death called her hence and had she lived another three months she would have been married fifty years. She was always a kind and indulgent mother and wife and leaves to mourn her loss, besides her husband, two sons Herman and Barney, and four daughters Mrs. Frank Risse, Mrs. Frank Boyer and Mrs. Geo. Reeson. The sympathy of the entire community is extended to the relatives in their hour of trouble. Funeral services were conducted from the Catholic Church this morning Rev. Father Ruesing officiating after which the remains were laid to rest in the Catholic Cemetery. March 25, 1903 Cuming County Democrat J.A. Stahl, Publisher & Proprietor
