The Nelson Gazette (Nelson, NE), Thursday, December 15, 1921; pg. 1 ========== The remains of Mrs. Annie Dean arrived here Wednesday evening from Rochester, Minn., where she passed away on Monday. Mrs. Dean had been in poor health for some time, and in company with Florence Galusha, Tuesday of last week, went to Mayo's, but died a few days after reaching there. Her home was at Basin, Wyo., and her husband arrived here this morning from that place. Florence Galusha accompanied the body to Nelson. Funeral services will be held at the Methodist church Friday afternoon at three o'clock. The Nelson Gazette, Thursday, April 3, 1930 ============ Anna Dean, daughter of John and Jennie Galusha, was born in Nuckolls county (sic), February 12, 1890, and departed this life at Rochester, Minnesota, March 30th, 1930, aged 40 years, 1 month, and 9 days. She was converted and became a member of the Methodist church March 23, 1918, during the pastorate of Rev. Hull. She became very active in church work and was president of the Woman's Foreign Missionary Society for one term. Friends have told us what a fine young lady she was, and that Rev. Wilcox remarked of her rapid growth in Christian grace. She leaves to mourn her departure, her husband Robert Dean, her mother, four brothers and two sisters. They are Charles, James and Ralph of Natrona, Wyo., and John of Texas, and her sisters Belle Coles at Action, Mont., and Lulu Hill, and her mother Jennie Galusha of Basin, Wyo. Funeral was held from the M.E. church, Nelson, Friday afternoon at three o'clock, Rev. W.B. Zimmerman officiating. IN APPRECIATION To the friends and old neighbors who gave us assistance in our hour of bereavement, we wish to take this opportunity to thank all, what may have been theirs to give. The Dean Family.
