The Nelson Gazette, Thursday, February 5, 1914 ============================ Jennie Tanner was born December 17, 1853, at Ticonderoga, New York, and died at two o'clock Friday morning, Octobr (sic) 27, 1933, at her home three miles north of Basin, Wyoming, aged 79 years, 10 months and 10 days. She was married to John Galusha April 5, 1870, at Warrensburg, New York, where they resided until 1879, when they moved to Nebraska. Ten children were born to this union: two boys and one girl dying in infancy and one daughter, Mrs. Annie Dean who passed away March 30, 1930. The husband and father died at Nelson, Nebraska, May 10, 1897. In her early life she was a member of the Baptist church (sic) both at Oak and Nelson, Nebraska, but her poor health has prevented her attending services for several years. In 1907 Mrs. Galusha moved to Casper, Wyoming, and in 1917 to Basin, Wyoming, where she has resided since. Deceased was a member and Past Noble Grand of the Natrona Rebekah Lodge No. 13, I.O.O.F., Casper, Wyoming. Left to mourn her loss are four sons: Charles and Ralph of Natrona; two daughters, Mrs. R.V. Coles of Acton, Montana, and Mrs. T.J. Hill of Basin, Wyoming. She leaves also three brothers and one sister living in Nebraska, thirty-six grandchildren and seventeen great grandchildren. Throughout her entire life her health has been very poor, but she has always borne her suffering with patience. A loving wife and mother who having sacrificed so much for her family, they will always hold her sacred in their memory. Funeral Monday afternoon from the Klawitter Mortuary, at 2:30, with the service in charge of Rev. John Caldwell of the Presbyterian church (sic). Interment was made in the Nelson cemetery (sic). CARD OF THANKS. We desire to express our thanks to the many friends ofr (sic) their kind acts, and sympathy shown at the time of our bereavement. Relatives of Mrs. Jennie Galusha.
