Description	:	Our dear mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Anna Unruh, was born to Peter and Agentha Schmidt Jantz at Marion, South Dakota, on May 1, 1902. On October 1, 1978, she was admitted to the Holy Cross Hospital, when it was diagnosed that cancer had reoccurred. She was able to be up and around until the last day. In the last hours of her life, she felt the testimony that the Lord would soon be coming to receive her and that she had no fear of death. Yet her passing came sooner than was expected. Read More	Our dear mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Anna Unruh, was born to Peter and Agentha Schmidt Jantz at Marion, South Dakota, on May 1, 1902. On October 1, 1978, she was admitted to the Holy Cross Hospital, when it was diagnosed that cancer had reoccurred. She was able to be up and around until the last day. In the last hours of her life, she felt the testimony that the Lord would soon be coming to receive her and that she had no fear of death. Yet her passing came sooner than was expected. She peacefully fell asleep in her home to be with her Lord on January 24, 1979, reaching the age of 76 years, 8 months, and 24 days. In 1907, Mother, together with her parents, moved to Waldheim, Saskatchewan. Then in 1914, her mother, with the family, moved to Needless, British Columbia. Three years later they came to Sunnyslope, Alberta. Mother answered the Saviour's convicting call to repentance and was baptized in the spring of 1918, becoming a member of the Church of God in Christ, Mennonite, which faith she cherished and upheld until death. On October 23,1921, she was married to Walter Unruh. The following summer they moved to their farm at Swalwell. In 1967, our parents returned and moved into Linden. On December 5, 1976, Mother lost her companion suddenly. They shared joys and sorrows for fifty-five years. Mother will long be remembered for her concern and thoughtfulness to us as the family and friends. She left us an example of a simple trusting faith in God. This faith helped her to accept every trial. She leaves to mourn her: eight children: Alvin and Betty of Pincher Creek, Alberta; Leon and Margaret of Abbotsford, British Columbia; Crist and Helen of Acme, Alberta; Beulah of Linden, Alberta; Viola and Ervie Toews, Walt and Selma of Swalwell, Alberta; Dewey and Doreen, Joann and Elmer Esau of Stettler, Alberta; thirty-eight grandchildren, and sixteen great-grandchildren; three brothers: Dave and Leona Jantz, Abbotsford, British Columbia; Sam and Anna Jantz of Swalwell, Alberta; Neil Jantz of Linden, Alberta; and many relatives and friends. Preceding her in death were her husband; her parents; one daughter, Luella, in childhood; one daughter-in-law, Luella; two grandchildren; five brothers: Abram, Henry, John, Peter, and Tobias; two sisters: Mary, Mrs. Dave Klassen, and Lena, Mrs. Noah Voth; two half-brothers: Andrew and Jacob; and one half-sister, Elizabeth. Funeral services were held at the Church of God in Christ, Mennonite, on January 27, 1979, with the home ministers in charge. Burial was in the church cemetery.
