She came to America with her parents when she was two years old, and the family settled in Wisconsin. She is survived by her husband: six sons--John, Christopher, Enoch, Jacob, Elmer and Samuel: and three daughters--Martha, Clara and Evelyn. Jacob lives at Willow Lake SD and Clara lives in West Union, they being the only children not at home. She leaves two sister--Mrs Madeline Peterson of West Union and Mrs O.K. Gross of Eagle Grove; and two brothers --A.J. Peterson of Carpenter, SD and J.J. Peterson of Ballentine, Mont. The funeral service was held Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock at gauges church north of West Union, conducted by Rev O. Andresen. Interment in the church Cemetery. It was Mrs. Kleppe's wish to tell every person to live pure Christian lives. The First Lutheran church has had a few names and a the time of her death it was Hauges Church. She married Knud Knudson Kleppe Jr On May 3,1874.
