Description	:	Knud Knudsen Kleppe of Dover township died at his home Friday morning (February 9,1923), after a long and painful illness. Of the 71 years of his life he had spent 66 years in Dover township, of which he had long been known as one of the most upright, worthy, and substantial citizens. He was a man to be taken into account in business, in his church , in community and public affairs and from every one with whom he had dealing of any kind he commanded the most complete respect. Read More	Knud Knudsen Kleppe of Dover township died at his home Friday morning (February 9,1923), after a long and painful illness. Of the 71 years of his life he had spent 66 years in Dover township, of which he had long been known as one of the most upright, worthy, and substantial citizens. He was a man to be taken into account in business, in his church , in community and public affairs and from every one with whom he had dealing of any kind he commanded the most complete respect. Mr Kleppe's later years were saddened by domestic affliction. His wife Anna died in May, 1917 and less than a year later two sons, both soldiers in WWII, died just a month apart. K.K.Kleppe Jr the oldest son of Knud and Martha (Kleppa) Kleppe was born in Hjelmeland, Norway, December 21,1851. When he was going on to 6 years of age he came to America with his parents and one brother Hans. His spelling of this last name to Kleppe was done up arriving to Iowa Mr Kleppe married Anna Johnsdtr.Peterson Bergeland May 3, 1874. Ten children were born to this union. Knut K Kleppe 111(died under a year old), Jacob and Samsom who died in WW11,John,Christopher,Enoch,Martha, Clara, Elmer and Evelyn.
