Read More	Anna Jones Bedenbaugh Smith April 10, 1929 - February 17, 2022 Anna Jones Bedenbaugh Smith, 92, of 501 Thompson Street, Gaffney, S.C. went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, February 17, 2022 at her residence. Born in Gaffney, she was the widow of the late William (Bill) Hilliard Smith, and daughter of the late James Grady Jones and Vivian Lee Jones. She was a graduate of Gaffney High School, a graduate of Winthrop College, retired as a case worker for the Department of Social Services after 27 years of service, and a member of Cherokee Avenue Baptist Church. Anna was born and died in the same house. She dearly loved her family, was a precision seamstress and a great cook. Surviving are two sons, Dr. James Grady Bedenbaugh and Thomas Bedenbaugh (Diana), both of Gaffney; a daughter, Jana Duffield of Spartanburg, S.C.; six grandchildren, Michael Chad Morris (Crystal), Kristina Venable (Chip), Brooke Bedenbaugh, Brenna Bedenbaugh, Jason Bedenbaugh (Teresa) and Dr. Chris Bedenbaugh (Kimberly Grey); two step-grandchildren, Chad Smith and Cameron Smith; fourteen great-grandchildren; two step-great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter-in-law, Nanda Bedenbaugh, two stepsons, Willie Smith and Roy Smith, a sister, Margaret White Patrick and a brother, Robert Lee Jones. The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. until 2:45 p.m. on Tuesday, February 22, 2022 at Cherokee Avenue Baptist Church. Funeral services will follow at 3:00 p.m. at the Church with Dr. Clyde Thomas and Dr. Jason Waters officiating. Interment will be in Oakland Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to: Cherokee Avenue Baptist Church, P.O. Box 1449, Gaffney, SC 29342. The family will be at the home of Thomas & Diana Bedenbaugh, 735 Leadmine Road, Gaffney, S.C. 29340.
