Description	:	Anna Catherine Grosklaus was born in Baden, Germany, June 16, 1852, and died at her home in Nelson on April 13, 1927. She came to this country in May 1881. On November 8, 1883, she was united in marriage to Mr. Jacob Frey at Allegan, Michigan. To this union six children were born, four sons and two daughters, two sons having died in infancy. Read More	Anna Catherine Grosklaus was born in Baden, Germany, June 16, 1852, and died at her home in Nelson on April 13, 1927. She came to this country in May 1881. On November 8, 1883, she was united in marriage to Mr. Jacob Frey at Allegan, Michigan. To this union six children were born, four sons and two daughters, two sons having died in infancy. There remain to mourn the loss of a good mother, Mrs. Anns Sues of Danbury, Nebr.; Mrs. Emma Oltman, Nelson; Amil A. Frey of Carr Crossing, Colorado; and Arthur W. Frey of Fairfield. One sister lives in Michigan. Soon after their marriage they settled on a farm in Thayer county (sic), Nebraska. Eight years later they came to Nuckolls county (sic). In 1919 they came to Nelson where they resided until Mrs. Frey was taken to her heavenly home. Mrs. Frey was reared in Germany in the strictest of German Luthran (sic) faith and was confirmed in that church. She was one of the old fashioned mothers who filled her position to the full. She went regularly to the country church seven miles northwest of Nelson, rearing their children in the nurture and admonition of the Lord. She had been in ill health for seven years. She was known by her circle of friends as a thoroughly good Christian woman. Beside her husband left behind, she leaves sixteen grand childrn (sic), other relatives and a host of friends. The funeral service will be held Friday afternoon at two o'clock, at the residence, and will be conducted by her pastor, Stephen H. Jones. The Nelson Gazette, Thursday, April 14, 1927
