Description	:	Anna Katherine Bivens, daughter of Nicholas and Magaret Schaefer Lutz, was born in Fillmore County, Nebraska, March 25, 1894, and passed away after a lingering illness at the Hearthstone Nursing Home in York, June 21, 1984, at the age of 90 years, two months and 26 days. On February 5, 1913, she was united in marriage to Artie Lee Bivens of Fairmont. To this union, two sons were born, Bert Bivens of Walnut, Ia., and Lester Bivens of Mountain Grove, Mo. Read More	Anna Katherine Bivens, daughter of Nicholas and Magaret Schaefer Lutz, was born in Fillmore County, Nebraska, March 25, 1894, and passed away after a lingering illness at the Hearthstone Nursing Home in York, June 21, 1984, at the age of 90 years, two months and 26 days. On February 5, 1913, she was united in marriage to Artie Lee Bivens of Fairmont. To this union, two sons were born, Bert Bivens of Walnut, Ia., and Lester Bivens of Mountain Grove, Mo. Anna's husband died March 25, 1971, and after his death she remained in her own home until her health failed. She then spent four years in the Hearthstone Nursing Home. Anna was preceded in death by her husband, Artie Bivens; her parents; five brothers, five sisters and one great-grandson. She is survived by two sons, Bert Bivens of Walnut, Ia. and Lester Bivens of Mountain Grove Mo.; four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; two sisters, Lena Wullbrant of the Hearthstone Nursing Home of York and Emma Hyatt of Waco, Tx., nieces, nephews and friends. Funeral services were conducted from the United Methodist church in McCool Junction, June 23, 1984, with the Re. Marvin Herrick officiating. Mr. and Mrs. Roland Hall sang "Beyond the Sunset" and "How Great Thou Art," with Mrs. Dale Bellows accompanying. Pallbearers were Harry Jones, Bernard Lutz, Gerald Sanburg, Billy Whitemore, Lloyd Wolstenholm and Boyd Young. Interment was in Fairmont Cemetery, Fairmont. The Nebraska Signal June 28th, 1984 page 6. Daughter of Nicholas and Margaret (Schaefer) Lutz. Lot Owner: Artie and Anna Bivens.
