She was born March 16, 1919 at Marysville, the daughter of Dominic and Laura Schwindamann Schmitz. She graduated from MHS and attended Kansas State University. She taught school 20 years, 15 years as a teacher and later principal at Annunciation Catholic School, Frankfort. She was a 4-H project leader 13 years, a member of the Conservative Homemakers Extension Unit and a member of the Annunciation Catholic Church. She married Raymond J. Ring May 8, 1941 at St. Gregory's Church. Preceding her in death were her parents; and two brothers, Vere D. Schmitz and William Schmitz. Survivors are her husband, Raymond, of the home; a son, Raymond J Ring Jr., Vermillion, SD; a daughter, Mrs. Greg (Mary Lou) Davis, Topeka; seven grandchildren; three brothers, Dominic Schmitz, Marysville, John Schmitz, Lafayette, IN, and AJ "Sam" Schmitz, Herkimer; and three sisters, Bernice Pache and Barbara Nordhus, both of Marysville, and Isla Schwarz, Home City.
