Description	:	OBITUARY - Raymond J. Ring, 83, Frankfort, died Monday, May 28, 2001, at the Community Memorial Healthcare Long Term Care, Marysville. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10am Friday at Annunciation Parish Church, Frankfort. Burial will be in St. Gregory's Catholic Cemetery. Rosary will be said at the church at 7pm Thursday. Ring was born Oct. 29, 1917, near Marysville, the son of Herbert and Anna Seematter Ring. He graduated from MHS in 1963, where he was nominated for the National Honor Society. He married Anna K. Schmitz May 8, 1941, in Marysville. They lived near Marysville until they bought a farm near Frankfort in 1951. Both lived on that farm until their deaths. Anna Ring died Feb. 11, 1992. He was a charter member of the Wide Awake 4-H Club and a founding leader of the Blue Valley Hustlers 4-H Club. He was a township trustee, Democratic precinct committeeman, and a member of the Annunciation Parish Council. He and Mrs. Ring received the Bankers Soil Conservation award in the early 1980s. He was on the Beattie-Frankfort Co-op board of directors when the new elevator was constructed. From 1977 to 1981, he was a member of the Kansas USDA/ASCS State Committee. He also served on the county Farmers Home Administration committee. He was preceded in death by his wife, parents and four brothers, Justin, Frank, Herbert Jr. and Aaron. Survivors are his son, Raymond Ring, Jr., Vermillion, SD; his daughter, Mary Lou Davis, Topeka; two sisters, Rose Bruna, Hanover and Carol Hersing, Victorville, CA; and seven grandchildren.
