BOSTON She Died in Manning, Iowa, March 28, After a Long Illness. Mrs. W. G. Boston, long-time resident of David City, died Thursday, March 28, in Manning, Iowa, where she had been taken by relatives some weeks ago for medical care. She had been a sufferer with cancer of the stomach for five years. She was nearly 85 years of age. The body was brought to David City and funeral services were conducted by Rev. Father Ekler at St. Mary's Catholic church at 3 p.m. Saturday, March 30. The pallbearers were Dr. O. W. Wyatt, Frank Birkel, E. J. Dworak, B. H. Eiting, John Lanspa and Peter Vanderheiden. Burial was in St. Mary's cemetery, David City. In attendance at the funeral from away were Mrs. William Wyatt and son, Dr. O. W. Wyatt, from Manning, Iowa, B. F. Reilly of Fremont, Mr. and Mrs. Ed Hutton of Omaha, Mrs. Mary Hutton, Mr. and Mrs. Roy Hutton and Mr. and Mrs. Robert Hutton of Missouri Valley, Iowa. Anna Lee was born in Toronto, Canada, May 25, 1844. She lived in Missouri Valley, Iowa, as a girl and was married there to William G. Boston in 1876. The year after their marriage Mr. and Mrs. Boston came to David City and it remained their home until death. Mr. Boston passed away some 16 years ago. An adopted daughter, Marie, died in 1907 at the age of 22 years. The only near relatives surviving Mrs. Boston are her sister, Mrs. Mary Hutton, of Missouri Valley, and a niece and three nephews. Mrs. Boston was loved by a large circle of friends. Kindly and hospitable, she was ever doing deeds of kindness for others and delighted to have her friends and acquaintances visit her. She was always cheerful, jolly and optimistic and it was a real pleasure to be in her company. She was a devout member of St. Mary's church and Altar society and was an active member of the Women's Relief Corps for many years.
