Read More	People's Banner (David City, Nebr.), July 10, 1913, p. 2, col. 5 DEATH CLAIMS A PIONEER William George Boston of this city, was born November 7, 1847 in Butler County, Pennsylania and was the son of George and Nancy Boston. He died July 8, 1913 at 5:30 p. m. in the Ingleside Sanitarium at Hastings. He has been a sufferer for several years but was only confined to his bed the past month. When a young man the deceased moved from Pennsylvania to Illinois where he remained for a short time then going to Missouri Valley, Iowa, where he was united in marriage to Miss Anna L. Jordan on July 23, 1876. Only one child, Georgia Marie brightened this household for a few short years, passing to the great Beyond six years ago. In August 1877 the deceased with his wife came to David City, Nebraska and started the first hardware store in this town. He was a member of the town board for two terms and in 1881 was elected Chief of the Fire Department. His religious faith was Presbyterian. The deceased was a member of several organizations, they were: A. F. & A. M. Fidelity Lodge No. 51, Shawnee Lodge No. 33 I. O. O. F. Shawnee, Oklahoma, King David Chaper No. 30 R. Y. M., Mount Mariah Commandery No. 4 Lincoln, Nebraska, Sesostris Temple A. A. O. N. M. S., Lincoln, Nebraska. Besides his faithful and loving wife, Mr. Boston leaves two sisters, Mr. Arthur Holt and Mrs. Elizabeth Weikol, both living in Pennsylvania, a number of nieces and nephews and a host of friends. The nieces and nephews from David City are: Mrs. William Wyatt, Mrs. Martin Sherwood, Miss Nina Freeze and Mr. H. L. Boston. Funeral services were held this morning (Thursday) at 10:30 o'clock at his late residence in this city, Rev. D. T. Firor of the Baptist church, having charge of the services. The pall bearers were: Messrs. W. F. Quade, George Khral, M. J. Bouse, E. A. Cram, J. J. Frater and C. W. Bennison. Mr. and Mrs. J. P. Hutton frrom Missouri Valley, Iowa, the latter a sister of Mrs. Boston, were in attendance at the funeral.
