A Celebration of Life Service will be 2:30 p.m. Saturday, October 20, 2018 at Powers Funeral Home 601 New York Avenue in Creston. Pastor Mary O’Riley will officiate. Burial will be at Greenlawn Cemetery in Afton. Open visitation, with family receiving friends will be 1-2:30 service time on Saturday at Powers Funeral Home in Creston. Memorials are to Care Initiatives Hospice or Creston Specialty Care. Anna Louise Warner was born February 26, 1928 in Shannon City, Iowa to Walter “Jake” Hillebran and Vera Marie (Brown) Hillebran. She graduated from Afton High School in 1946. On November 30, 1947, Anna married Frederick Kalar. They lived and worked in Afton and moved to Creston in 1953, where she worked at Fareway as a cashier. In 1972, they moved to Burlington and Anna began working with Montgomery Wards. Fred died in 1976 and Anna returned to Creston and began working at K-mart. In December 16, 1978, Anna married Roy V. Warner. They settled in Mount Ayr. Anna retired as a customer service representative with K-mart in 1990. Roy died in 2006. Anna later moved to Creston to be near family. Survivors include two daughters, Linda and Cheryl (Rusty); one son, Gary (wife, Tara); one sister, Mary; six grandchildren: Deborah (Mike), Terry (Shelby), Tracy (Steve), Tricia, Becky (Phil) and Megan (Jamie); thirteen great-grandchildren: Amanda (Jordon), Jordan (fiancée, Emily), Ethan, Abby, Nathan, Abigail, Kirstin, Cameron (Kayelea), Dylon, Lucas, Samantha (Michael), Alexandra and Gabby (Zach); and six great-great-grandchildren: Bhodi, Hope, Eliza, Ayden, Raelee and Keegan. Anna was preceded in death by her parents, her husbands, Fred Kalar and Roy Warner and her brother, Bill Hillebran.
