She was born April 21, 1913 in Glynnwood to Ferdinand and Theresa Koehl Hoorman. On Nov. 30, 1933, she married Marvin Oen, who survives in St. Marys. Mrs. Oen was a homemaker. She was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church, St. Marys, and its Altar Sodality. She was a member of the former Pleasant Hour Club, Noble Township, and a member of the Farm Bureau Council. Survivors also include four sons, Joseph (Ruth) Oen and William (Mary) Oen, both of St. Marys , Rev. Edward Oen of Hanover, Kan., and Urban (Sylvia) Oen of West Chicago, Ill.; six daughters. Helen Wilges, Bernadette (Leon) Schoenlein, Mary (Clyde) Dull and Monica (Leo) O'Dowd, all of St. Marys, Theresa (Mike) Kleintank of Norwood, and Patricia (Allen) Elsass of Wapakoneta; 32 grandchildren and 37 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by an infant son, Paul Oen; eight brothers, Frank, Joseph, Charles, Robert, Brother Lawrence, and Revs. Ferdinand, John, and Urban Hoorman; and four sisters, Rose Dexler, Catherine Hoorman and Sisters Marie and Helen Hoorman. Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 2 p.m. Monday at Holy Rosary Catholic. The Revs. Ed Oen, David Heinl, James Byrne, Harold Brown and Joe Brown will officiate. Burial will be in St. Thomas Cemetery, Glynwood. Friends may call from 1 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Miller Funeral Home, St. Marys, where a Christian prayer service will be held at 8 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Holy Rosary Catholic Church.
