Description	:	Mrs. H. R. Smith passed away Friday, October 27, at a hospital in Sterling, Colorado. She had been in failing health for some time and a few weeks ago she and Mr. Smith went with their son Roy, to Sterling where she was placed in a hospital in order that she might have every possible care. Anna M. Cheney was born in Illinois January 15, 1863, attaining the age of 76 years, nine months and 12 days at the time of her passing. She had been in failing health for some time and a few weeks ago she and Mr. Smith went with their son Roy, to Sterling where she was placed in a hospital in order that she might have every possible care. Anna M. Cheney was born in Illinois January 15, 1863, attaining the age of 76 years, nine months and 12 days at the time of her passing. She came to Nebraska in the late seventies or early eighties and on February 24, 1886, was united in marriage to H. R. Smith. Later they established themselves on a farm northwest of Boone where they made their home until retiring from the farm to move to Albion Mrs. Smith was a good wife and mother and a generous neighbor. A member of the Albion Methodist church she attended Sunday School and church services regularly until failing health interfered. Left to mourn her passing are her husband, Henry R. Smith; her three sons, Roy and Floyd of Sterling, Colorado and Lynn of Albion, their families and other relatives, besides a large number of friends both in Albion and in the old Boone community where she resided so long. Funeral services were held at the home in Albion Sunday afternoon, conducted by Rev. R. A. Trowbridge, pastor of the Methodist church. The men’s quartet from the Congregational church sang.
