Mass of the Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Holy Spirit Church with Msgr. Leo Lenz, V. F. officiating. Burial will be at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Lector will be Rick Prenger, a grandson. Pallbears will be Brian Emery, Tom Prenger, David Prenger, Mark Prenger, Rick Prenger, Louis Prenger, Jr., Steve Prenger and Gregory Prenger. All are grandsons. Friends may call after 2:30 p.m. at the Sharp Funeral Home in Carroll. Rosaries will be recited Wednesday at 3 p.m. by the Legion of Mary, 7:30 p.m. by the parish and 8:30. Mrs. Prenger, the daughter of Gerhard and Barbara (Roth) Janning, was born October 27, 1889 in Mt. Carmel. She spent her youth in the Mt. Carmel and Halbur area. She was married to August Prenger September 26, 1914 at St. Augustine's Church, Halbur. The couple lived in Halbur until 1926 when they moved to Carroll. Mr. Prenger died in 1947 and Mrs. Prenger continued to live with her daughter, Sally. She was a member of Holy Spirit parish, the Legion of Mary and the Holy Spirit Ladies' Guild. Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Elmer (Ann) Emery of Coon Rapids and Sally of Carroll; three sonS, Ralph of Clarksville, Ark. and Maurice and Louis of Carroll; 22 grandchildren and 32 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, and daughter, Stella, two sons, Melvin and Ambrose, five brothers and four sisters.
