Description	:	Anna Marie, daughter of August and Louise Auer, was born September 25, 1870, at Milwaukee, Wis. She passed away at Geneva, Neb., May 8, 1965, aged 94 years, 8 months and 13 days. In 1884, she moved with her family to Fillmore County, Nebraska. May 11, 1890, she was married to N. Joseph Schaf of Grafton. She and her husband lived in Geneva and other communities in this area. Read More	Anna Marie, daughter of August and Louise Auer, was born September 25, 1870, at Milwaukee, Wis. She passed away at Geneva, Neb., May 8, 1965, aged 94 years, 8 months and 13 days. In 1884, she moved with her family to Fillmore County, Nebraska. May 11, 1890, she was married to N. Joseph Schaf of Grafton. She and her husband lived in Geneva and other communities in this area. Mr. Schaf, working as a harness maker. They also farmed southwest of Grafton until 1901, when they moved to Chicago. They returned to Grafton in 1906 and Mr. Schaf continued his trade of harness maker. To this union were born three children, Merle Josephine, Andrew N. and Leo A. Her husband passed away in November, 1926. She continued to reside in the Grafton community. She and her son, Leo resided in Grafton many years, her home at the time of her passing. She is survived by her sons, Leo at home and Andrew of Albion; her daughter, Mrs. Merle Stead of David City; a grandson, Vincent J. Stead and two great-granddaughters, Susan Ann Stead and Melissa J. Stead. Funeral services were held Tuesday morning, May 11, at St. Helena church in Grafton, with Rev. Thomas Kadlec officiating. Pallbearers were Raymond Zieren, Ralph O'Connor, Michael O'Brien, Darrell Fessler, Jerry Keenan and Richard Yaeger. Interment was in the Grafton Cemetery. The Nebraska Signal May 27, 1965 page 14.
