Read More	June 4, 1925 - Carroll Times - The sudden death of Mrs. John Huegerich Thursday afternoon at 5:45 o'clock came as a distinct shock to the family and many friends. Mrs. Huegerich had been suffering with a complication of ailments for the last two years and had been in rather a serious condiion for the last four months, during which time she had been confined to her bed the greater part of the time. Her death, however, was not expected on Thursday. When she was taken sick four months ago she was under treatment at the St. Anthony hospital for several weeks, but was later able to return to her home. The family had hoped that she would gain in strength and would be able to stand a trip to Rochester, but she was unable do so. During her entire illness she was uncomplaining and cheerful and enjoyed nothing more than the visits of her children, who have been making frequent trips from their homes to spend as much time as possible with their mother. Mrs. Huegerich was devoted to her family to a marked degree and enoyed nothing more than to have her children all about her. Her home and her family meant everything to her and she enjoyed making her home attractive for their sake. Before her marriage Mrs. Huegerich was Miss Anna Mary Halbig. She was born in Kirchletten, Germany, May 10, 1856, and came to America when 23 years old. She was united in marriage to John Huegerich in this city November 9, 188O. With the exception of nine years the family has resided in this city continuously since that time. Of the seven children born to Mr. and Mrs. Huegerich six with the husband survive. One son, Dr. Geo. Huegerich, died in Breda, where he was a veterinarian, November 22, 1923. The surviving children are Mrs. J.W. Wermerskirchen of Iona, Minn.; F.J. Huegerich of Renwick; J.E. Huegerich of St. Paul; Mrs. Victor Olerich, Breda; Mrs. E.B. Dopheide, Norfolk, Neb.; and Miss Josephine Huegerich of this city. She also leaves one brother, Frank Halbig, Sr., of this city. Mrs. Huegerich was a devout Christian woman and died fully fortified with the last rites of the Ss. Peter & Paul's church of which she was a member. She was also a memher of the Rosary sodality of this church. Funeral services were held Monday morning at 9 o'clock and were largely attended by relatives and friends who came to pay their last respects to their departed friend. Those present from out of town were Mr. and Mrs. J.M. Wermerskirchen of Iona, Minn.; Mr. and Mrs. F.J. Huegerich of Renwick, Ia.; Mr. and Mrs. J.E. Huegerich of St. Paul; Mr. and Mrs. Victor Olerich, Breda, and Mr. and Mrs. E.B. Dopheide, Norfolk, Neb., and Mrs. Geo. Huegerich of Odebolt.
