Dinnel, a resident of Superior for more than 30 years, passed away at her home here Saturday, Jan. 29. The following obituary was read at the funeral services Wednesday afternoon: Anna M. Walton, daughter of Andy and Florabelle Walton, was born Dec. 31, 1870, in Cedar county (sic), Iowa, and departed this life Jan. 29, 1944 at her home in Superior, Nebr., at the age of 73 years and 29 days. When she was seven years of age the family moved to northern Kansas and in 1888 they moved again, settling in Frontier county (sic), Nebr. On Jan. 9, 1889 she was united in marriage to Nathan R. Dinnel. To this union ten children were born, three dying in infancy. In 1908 both Mr. and Mrs. Dinnel were converted and became members of the Methodist church. Mrs. Dinnel maintained her faith in the Christ until her passing and during her last days gave testimony of the sufficiency of His grace. In 1911 the family moved to Superior, Nebr., and have made their home at that place since then except for about one year spent in Hastings, Nebr. Mrs. Dinnel was a devoted wife and mother, her first interests always in her family. The last years of her life were spent in a wheel chair, but she was patient and uncomplaining in spite of physical handicaps. Left to mourn her passing are her husband; three sons, John A., of Holyoke, Colo., Fred W., of Hastings, Nebr., and Harry R., now serving in the U.S. army overseas; four daughters, Mrs. Mary Fenimore of Emporia, Kans., Mrs. Lily Boner of Bartley, Nebr., Mrs. Edna Toft of the home and Mrs. Erma Crook of Twin Falls, Idaho; one brother, David W. Walton of Indianola, Nebr.; two sisters, Mrs. Clara Diamond of Twin Falls, Idaho, and Mrs. Marie Mulkins of Dixon, Ill.; twenty-two grandchildren, twenty-one great grandchildren; many other relatives and a host of friends. Services were held at the Zulauf-Denny funeral home Wednesday afternoon, Rev. R.M. Greene officiating. Interment was in Evergreen cemetery (sic).
