DeLashmutt, who has been in ill health for the past few weeks passed away at the home here at noon today at the age of 59 years. Mrs. DeLashmutt and her son Walter had just returned last month from a trip in the east with relatives and had taken ill after her return home. Deceased is survived by her two sons, Harry A. of 37 South Farragut, Philadlphia, Pa., and Walter F.,Superintendent of La Plata Public Schools, a daughter Anna Cecil died in infancy. One sister and two brothers also survive her. Mrs. Lillie Mosher of Salem, Iowa, A. H. Masden of Salem, Iowa and Frank Masden of Fairfield, Iowa. Two sons, sisters and brothers all being present at the time of her death. Mrs. DeLashmutt was a great church worker and was always ready to do as she was called upon and will be greatly missed in the church as well as by her loved ones. She was affiliated with the M. E. Church here since 1899, a member of the D.A.R.'s and also of the Eastern Star. The funeral services will be held from the home at 3:00 Sunday by the Rev. R. G. Hillbers and the body will be shipped to Salem Iowa Monday taken to the home of C. I. DeLashmutt where a short service will be held and burial will be made at the Salem South Cemetery by the side of her husband who preceded her in death in June 1922.
