DEATH INFORMATION: Obituary from the Bangor Daily News (Bangor, Penobscot County, Maine, USA) on Tuesday, March 20, 1951, page 7, column 7: Former Light Opera Singer Dies at Calais CALAIS, March 19 - Mrs. Anna M. Lincoln, 94, former Gilbert and Sullivan light opera star who once sang before royalty in Europe, died early this morning at a local hospital. Widow of Dr. Arthur T. Lincoln of Dennysville, she toured Europe as a soprano with Gilbert and Sullivan during the height of her singing career. She and her husband later retired to make their home in Dennysville. Dr. Lincoln was an associate of James J. Audubon, American ornithologist, and the Lincoln Bird club of Washington county was named in his honor. Mrs. Lincoln spent her later years at a Calais rest home and only this winter donated the money to purchase a new laundry at the Calais Regional hospital. Private funeral services will be held Saturday at 1:30 p.m., at the Everett L. Scott funeral home, 22 Church street, with the Rev. Ernest Heywood officiating. Friends are asked to omit flowers. Committal services will be held Saturday at 3:30 p.m., at Dennysville.
