Read More	OBITUARY - The Glasco Sun, Glasco, KS Anna Peterson, daughter of Peter and Maren Petersen, was born in Vejle, Denmark, Dec. 3, 1869 and was called to her Heavenly Home, Friday, May 31, 1940 at the age of 80 years, 5 months and 28 days. At the age of 20 years she left her native land and sailed for America to join her brother and sister who had preceded her. She arrived at Beloit, Kansas May 15, 1880. On February 12, 1885, she was united in marriage to Halder B. Halderson. To this union two sons were born; Benjamin of Delphos and Elmer of Glasco. The family resided on the homestead two and one-half miles south of Glasco where they endured the hardships of early pioneers. In the spring of 1918 they moved to Glasco where they lived until the death of Mr. Halderson, Nov. 29th, 1918. After the death of her husband, Mrs. Halderson returned to the farm where she made her home with her son, Elmer, until the time of her death. She loved her home and was ever thoughtful of the comfort of her loved ones, spending many happy years with her children and her grandchildren. At an early age she was baptised and confirmed in the Lutheran church and remained steadfast to that faith until her death. She leaves to mourn her death her two sons and their wives; five grandchildren, Paul, Howard, Roy, Ruth, and Lowell Halderson; her sister-in-law, Mrs. Marie Petersen of Simpson and other relatives and friends. Final services were held at St. Paul's Lutheran church on Sunday afternoon, June 2, at two-thirty p.m. with Rev. Milton P. Englehardt officiating. Interment was in the Glasco Cemetery. Among the out of town people attending the funeral of Mrs. Anna Halderson which was held Sunday were: Mrs. Marie Petersen, Mrs. Mary Dalrymple, Mrs. Joe Prickett, Mrs. Lena Asmussen, Miss Anna Asmussen, Mrs. and Mrs. Carl Asmussen, Mr. and Mrs. Jens Asmussen, Mr. Jess Dalrymple, Mr. and Mrs. Tom Griffin and Faye, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Chapman, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Lampert all of Simpson; Mrs. C. Hansen and Mr. and Mrs. Peter Jorgensen of Beloit; Mrs. E. Kleiner and Miss Colleen Kleiner of Delphos. ---
