Description	:	Information gathered by Linda Therkelsen, wife of Anna's great-great grandson: Anna Robb was born in Bankhead, Monikie, Angus, Scotland on July 2, 1830 to James and Anne (Raffray) Robb. She died on December 11, 1908 in Boone, Iowa. Ann's mother died between 1835 and 1841 and in the 1841 census Ann's grandmother, Euphemia Robb, is living with her son and family. By 1847 Ann's grandmother and two of her siblings had died. Her father was a weaver and a farmer. Ann was married to William Gorrie McNaughton on May 21, 1852 in Denhead, Monikie, Angus, Scotland.... She died on December 11, 1908 in Boone, Iowa. Ann's mother died between 1835 and 1841 and in the 1841 census Ann's grandmother, Euphemia Robb, is living with her son and family. By 1847 Ann's grandmother and two of her siblings had died. Her father was a weaver and a farmer. Ann was married to William Gorrie McNaughton on May 21, 1852 in Denhead, Monikie, Angus, Scotland. They arrived in New York on the ship Mortimer Livingston on August 2, 1852, along with two of William's brothers, their wives, and a younger sister of Ann's. They probably traveled by train to LaSalle County, Illinois, where Ann and William's first child, Annetta, was born on December 14, 1852, joined by a sister in 1854. William and his brother Thomas bought adjoining farms in Berlin and Olive Townships of Clinton County, Iowa in 1856, and two other brothers farmed in a nearby township. Seven more children were born in Clinton County, including three who died as children. William and Anna later moved to Story County (1872), and settled on a farm near Ontario. Their tenth child was born in Story County, Iowa and died at age eleven of scarlet fever. Anna was buried in Linwood Cemetery in Boone, Iowa.
