Some words on services…Burial was in the Dannevirke Cemetery in the family lot. Anna Rosena Sorensen was born October 7, 1879 in Dannevirke to Andrew W. and Sena Christensen. She was baptized in the Lutheran faith and was a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church of Omaha. She was believed to have been the first white child born in west Dannevirke. She was a member of the Royal Neighbors of America, Ivy Camp No. 2, and the Danish Sisterhood Lodge No. 119. Mrs. Sorensen was a home-loving lady who devoted much time in helping others. In her younger days, Mrs. Sorensen's home was open to many young people who were new to the city and its ways, and she gave freely of her tie to help them retain their integrity and get the right start in their chosen field of work. She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert F. Sorensen who died in 1954 and is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Andrew Nelsen and Mrs. Rose Hansen, both of Omaha and two brothers, Willie C.
