The former Anna Schaap, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Cornelius Schaap, was born at Ackley, Iowa, September 4, 1894. She was united in marriage to Peter Niessink of Sioux Center at Hull January 3, 1919. The couple had made their home on a farm near Sioux Center until 1946 when they moved into town and he became associated with Al Kempers in the operation of Niessink and Kemper; an implement and auto dealership. Mr. Niessink had retired from the business a couple of years prior to his death on September 5, 1972. Survivors include one son, Lubbert, of Rock Rapids; two daughters, Katherine (Mrs. Frank) Dekkers of Sioux Center, and Cecelia (Mrs. Marvin) Kamrath of Sheldon; and five grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, three brothers, four sisters and one grandchild. Sioux Center News 1972-12-14.
