Description	:	MRS. JACOB DICKMAN DIES SATURDAY Mrs. Jacob Dickman, one of the oldest residents of this community passed away last Saturday at 1:00 p.m., after a long illness. Her husband died last December, bringing separation after 71 years of married life. Anna Sophia Maria Pee was born on November 19, 1839, at Meldorf, Germany, and died April 25th, 1931, at Creighton, Nebr., after an earthly sojourn of 91 years, 5 months and 6 days. JACOB DICKMAN DIES SATURDAY Mrs. Jacob Dickman, one of the oldest residents of this community passed away last Saturday at 1:00 p.m., after a long illness. Her husband died last December, bringing separation after 71 years of married life. Anna Sophia Maria Pee was born on November 19, 1839, at Meldorf, Germany, and died April 25th, 1931, at Creighton, Nebr., after an earthly sojourn of 91 years, 5 months and 6 days. She was united in Marriage to Jacob Dickman at Marne, Germany, February 3, 1860, and to this union eleven children were born, five boys and six girls. Three of the children and her husband preceded her in death. Mrs. Dickman came to the United States with her husband in the year 1882, coming to Nebraska and taking up residence in Dodge county where they lived four year, then coming to Knox county where they lived six years until they moved to Oklahoma, where they spent six more years, after which they returned to Knox county, living first east of Creighton, and for the past twenty-two years in Creighton. During these years she has made many friendships and acquaintances that have been valuable in her declining years. Mrs. Dickman was a very hard worker, a splendid mother, and an earnest Christian. She was friendly, cheerful, and patient, suffering these past years without a murmur. Through the early pioneer days she stood with her husband at the moments of crisis with a faith that took them on through the experiences that were typical of the pioneer days. She maintained her grit until the end. She is survived by three sons, John of Creighton; Jacob of Armour, S.D.; Herman of Omaha;her daughters, Mrs. Mary Goettsch of Fairbrown, S.D., Mrs. Otto Moeller, Creighton, Mrs. Elizabeth Thomsen of Oklahoma; Mrs. D.H. Struck of Winner, S.D.; Mrs. F.H. Reichwaldt of Pleasant Dale, Nebr. She is also survived by 70 grandchildren and 82 great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held on Monday morning at 9 o'clock from the Hengstler & Son Chapel, conducted by Rev. Wm. Wilson, pastor of the Methodist church. Rev. Wilson brought a comforting message to the sorrowing family in well-chosen words. Many friends and relatives gathered to pay final tribute to this esteemed woman. Mrs. Carl Bush and Miss Alice Gardner, with Mrs. Kile, accompanist, rendered impressive music. Burial was in Greenwood cemetery beside her husband. The bereaved relatives have the sympathy of all in the passing of the mother. Obituary published in the Creighton News April 30, 1931
