Rev. Fr. Virgil Walkowiak officiated at the funeral service and interment was made in the parish cemetery. Mrs. Knopik has been in failing health for some time. Mrs. Knopik was born in Poland on July 15, 1852. Her marriage to George Knopik took place there in 1870 and 11 years later they emigrated to the United States. They came to Columbus and went directly to a farm in Polk county a few miles south of Duncan, where they made their home until 1886, when they located on a farm in Nance county near Fullerton. There they resided until 1910, when Mr. Knopik died and since then Mrs. Knopik had been making her home with her children. She is survived by five daughters and two sons, Mrs. George Uzendoski, Mrs. Mike Lesiak and Mrs. John Dudek of Fullerton, and Mrs. Martin Zakazski of Columbus, Thomas Knopik of El Paso, Texas and Joseph Knopik of Ord. Mrs. Knopik lived to see three generations of descendants, having 23 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
