Read More	The Osceola Democrat, Osceola, Iowa July 5, 1906, Page 5 Obituary. Anna Watkins was born in Tuscarawas county, Ohio, August 17, 1853. Died at her home in Osceola, Iowa June 27, 1906 aged 52 years, 10 months and 10 days. While yet in infancy her parents removed to Wapello county, Iowa, where they lived for three years when they again removed to Clarke county locating on a farm near Lacelle. Here deceased grew to womanhood. She was united in marriage to Isaaih (sic) A. Twombley June 1st 1873, and to this union were born seven children, five of whom are living viz. Karl W., Ida E., Wm. L., Francis R. and Wilber W. All married but one and all reside in Clarke county but Wm. L. who resides at Beatrice, Nebraska. Sister Twombley was a woman of sterling religious convictions. At the age of 14 she was converted and united with the Methodist Episcopal Church at Lacelle. After her marriage she with her husband lived on a farm near Lacelle until three years ago when they moved to Osceola where they have since resided. After moving here she united with the Methodist Protestant church of which she remained a faithful member until her death. Deceased was a faithful wife, a loving mother, an earnest Christian. Living she exemplified the Christian life, dying she leaves behind the benediction of a Christian's death, and passes from earth to receive the Christian's reward. Deceased leaves behind to mourn their loss a husband, and aged father and mother, three sisters, three brothers, five children, seven grand-children and a large circle of relatives and friends, who while deprecating their loss, yet feel that they mourn not as those that have no hope. The funeral services were held at the M. P. church Saturday June 30th, at 2 p. m. conducted by Rev. C. J. Nutt, assisted by Rev. S. B. Clark. All of the near relatives of the deceased were present at the funeral except one brother and sister from Oklahoma who came in time to view the remains before interment. The deceased was esteemed very highly by those who knew her as was evidenced by the very large audience that was present at the funeral. C.J.N. —Mr. I. A.
