Description	:	Morgantown resident Annabel Allen died Sunday, April 21, 1996 at Columbus Regional Hospital. A former resident of Carmel and Hagerstown, she was 84. Mrs. Allen was born May 10, 1912 in Knightstown to E. Claire and Edith Beldon Allen. She and Voyle M. Allen were married October 15, 1938, in Hagerstown. He died January 10, 1996. Allen were married October 15, 1938, in Hagerstown. He died January 10, 1996. Mrs. Allen was graduated from Hagerstown High School in 1930 and the Arthur Jordan Conservatory of Music. Mrs. Allen had worked for the Perfect Circle Company in Hagerstown from 1930 until 1938. She had owned Annabel's Ceramic Shop in Hagerstown for many years, receiving outstanding awards for her work in ceramics in several states. She was a member of the Brown County Historical Society and the Morgantown United Methodist Church, where she belonged to the church choir. A former Cub Scout leader, she enjoyed spinning, weaving and quilting. Mrs. Allen was also a member of the Singing Secretaries. That group sang all across Indiana during the 1940s. Survivors include two sons, Thomas G. Allen of Morgantown and Donald C. Allen of Columbus; and five grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a sister, Thelma Bland; and a brother, Earl Harris. The Reverend Glen Clarkson will conduct a service today, April 24, at the West Lawn Cemetery in Hangerstown. The Meredith-Clark Funeral Home in Morgantown was in charge of arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to Morgantown United Methodist Church's Endowment Fund.
