Read More	MASON, ANNABELLE IRENE—Annabelle Irene Mason was born February 17, 1927, on a farm in Fillmore County to George and Elizabeth (Kahler) Fox. She attended Rural School District 79 in Clay County through the eighth grand and then attended Sutton High School and Geneva high school. Annabelle married Floyd Mason on September 21, 1946. To this marriage three children were born, Trudy (Mason) Dunkin, Dale Leon Mason and Donald Jay Mason. Annabelle and Floyd were married 64 years. Annabelle and Floyd ran the Hiway Café and Service Station on Highway 6 for 23 years. Annabelle was known for her homemade pies, fried chicken and all the trimmings. She loved cooking and enjoyed all her customers. In her retirement Annabelle enjoyed her family and the grandchildren’s visits. She also found quilting very interesting and really mastered the art. Annabelle is preceded in death by her parents, George and Elizabeth Fox; son Dale Mason and sister, Esther Gentert. She is survived by her husband Floyd; daughter, Trudy and husband Don Dunkin; son, Donald Mason; sisters, Shirley Thomsen, and Dorothy Ballou, brother, Dean Fox and wife Sharon; grandchildren, Steve Dunkin, Shannon Votipka, Travis Mason, Brad Dunkin and Tanya Ackerman; great-grandchildren, Trever Dunkin, Karissa Dunkin, Cheyenne Lane, Shania Lane, Brady Mason, Dawson Mason, Keeley Mason, Brecken Dunkin, Aubrey Dunkin, Cale Ackerman, Berke Ackerman, and Harper Ackerman, and great-great-granddaughter, Kara Dunkin. Funeral services were conducted from the United Church of Christ, Exeter, November 6 with the Rev. Ginny Adams and the Rev. Tim Adams officiating. Musical selections were “In the Garden” and “How Great Thou Art.” Casket bearers were Steven, and Bradley Dunkin, Travis Mason, Jason Ackerman, Charlie Votipka and Trever Dunkin.
