She grew to womanhood in Hastings, where on September 30, 1922, she was united in marriage with George Fox. Read More	The Nebraska Signal (Geneva, NE), December 12, 1974; pg. 5 Elizabeth Christina Kahler, daughter of Philip and Margaret Kahler, was born on October 19, 1904, at Hastings, Neb., and passed from this life in Lincoln, Neb., on December 3, 1974, at the age of 70 years, 1 month and 14 days. She grew to womanhood in Hastings, where on September 30, 1922, she was united in marriage with George Fox. To this union were born seven children, four daughters and three sons, two of the sons having died in infancy. They established their home on a farm in Fillmore County, where they lived until they retired and moved into Geneva in 1963. Mrs. Fox later moved to Exeter in 1970, where she made her home until about a year ago, when she went to live with a daughter in Lincoln. She was preceded in death by her husband; two sons and three brothers. She is survived by four daughters: Mrs. Floyd (Annabelle) Mason of Exeter, Mrs. Esther Gentert of Hastings, Mrs. Roger (Dorothy) Ballou of Lincoln; Shirley and her husband, Richard Thompson of Exeter and one son and daughter-in-law, Dean and Sharon Fox of Geneva; 13 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. As a girl, she was baptized and confirmed in the Christian faith in the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Hastings, Neb. Funeral services were conducted at 2 p.m., Friday, December 6, 1974 from the Kohler Chapel in Sutton with Rev. John E. Stayton of Geneva officiating. Mrs. Lloyd Hultime was organist and accompanied Mrs. Dale Hultine, who sang "Going Down the Valley" and "Beautiful Isle of Somewhere." Pallbearers were Donald Streck, Wilbert Streck, Robert Allen, Dean Kissler, George Krause and Friedhold Ulmer. Interment was in the Sutton Cemetery. Contributor: M.
